PURPOSE: To obtain picture data with excellent exposure balance of an object in the strobo photographing by correcting deviation of light distribution depending on spatial parallax of the strobe with respect to a photographing lens.

CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with a data storage means 12 storing data to correct the deviation of the light distribution of light projection of a strobo 8 at strobo photographing effected onto an object depending on a spatial parallax between an optical axis of a strobo and an optical axis of an photographing lens 2, and light distribution deviation correction means 6, 13 correcting the deviation in the light distribution in the case of strobe photographing based on the data. Then compliance data generated in advance based on a picture signal of strobo photographing over the entire pattern of a flat object having a uniform reflectance perpendicular to an optical axis of the photographing lens 2 are stored in a storage means (e.g. EEPROM) 12 prepared in the camera main body and the picture signal of the actual object is normalized and corrected by using the deviation information between the strobo axis and lens optical axis deviation.
