To provide a roll changing device with which the working time for changing rolls is shortened by making positioning of rolls and roll chocks easy.

The roll changing device is provided with a drive-side chock moving device 10 which has a screw-down motor which is engaged with a roll screw down device of the drive-side stand, with which the screw down device is driven and the drive-side stand is supported and moved in the axial direction of the roll and an operation-side chock moving device 20 for supporting an operation-side stand and moving it in the direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the roll. Further, when the device is taken as a constitution composed of a roll moving device 30, for supporting the roll and moving it in the axial direction of the roll, which has a roll supporting table which is freely ascendable and descendable, a tilting mechanism 36 for tilting the roll supporting table and an aligning mechanism 37 for moving the roll supporting table horizontally in the direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the roll, the roll is easily made to coincide with the chock of the drive-side stand at the time of assembly, so the roll is exchanged in a short time.
