Abstract:
PURPOSE: To save labor involved in a book making work and also save cost by automatically separating mutually sticking fold sections and collating the edge of the stacked fold sections.
CONSTITUTION: A bundle of fold sections 5' is placed on a fold section mounting table 28 and is held by a pair of support plates 22a, 22b. Further, the bundle is vibrated by a vibrator 30 and a horizontal collating bar 39 and a vertical collating bar 49 are allowed to come into contact with each edge of the bundle of fold sections 5' so that the edge of each fold section 5 is collated. In addition, the mutually sticking fold sections 5 are separated by blowing air to the bundle of fold sections 5' from air nozzles 32, 33 which shuttle back and forth. The bundle of fold sections 5' on the mounting table 28 becomes curved by the working of both projecting curved surface 26 and recessed curved surface 27 provided on each support plate 22a, 22b, and subsequently, becomes resilient. Thus the highly positive edge collation of the fold sections is achieved.
