Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamping/unclamping device for a collet chuck of a main spindle movable type automatic lathe for securely clamping and unclamping a collet chuck without increasing space of a machine main body or cost of the device itself.
SOLUTION: This clamping and unclamping device for a collet chuck 40 of the main spindle movable type automatic lathe is composed of an electromagnet device 81 or draw tube retraction linear motors 83, 87; 90, 91 for retracting a draw tube 35 inserted from a spline shaft 29 into it for holding the collet chuck 40, and a spiral plate spring 37 to advance the draw tube 35 to the spline shaft 29.
