Title:
DEVICE FOR CONNECTING MASTER UNIT AND SLAVE UNIT OF ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001245042
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve a device for connecting a master unit and a slave unit so that the connection terminal of the slave unit can be brought into reliable contact with the connection terminal of the master unit to be reliably held without being affected by slight posture disturbance, vibrations, etc., when the slave unit is inserted into the master unit to be set.

In this device for connecting the master unit and a slave unit of electronic equipment where the connection terminals 3 and 4 are provided on the bottom face of the outside case 1 of the slave unit and inside the slave unit receiving opening 2a formed on the outer case 2 of the master unit, respectively, and the connection terminal of the slave unit is connected to the connection terminal of the master unit by contact when the slave unit is inserted into the slave unit receiving opening to be set, magnets 5 and 6 for bringing the respective connection terminals into close contact with the connection position of the master unit/slave unit to hold them there are provided side by side to the connection terminals of the master and slave units. Thus, high contacting and holding force is insured between the connection terminals due to attraction between the magnets while the slave unit is inserted into the master unit to be set, and a reliable contact state between the connection terminals can be held without being affected by the insertion posture disturbance, vibrations, etc., of the slave unit.
