PURPOSE: To permit a continuous production of a lightweight, hard gypsum body having an improved bending strength by providing a body belt arranged horizontally, side belts arranged vertically to both the sides thereof, belt guides, forming spatulas, material gypsum slurry supply devices and fiber bundle supply devices.
CONSTITUTION: A body belt 1 and side belts 2A and 2B are driven at the same speed to supply a concentrated gypsum slurry A from a first slurry supply device 4 to a recess part defined by the body belt 1 and the side belts 2A and 2B, after which a fiber bundle F is supplied from a first fiber bundle supply device 5 to be layered thereon maintained under tension and the gypsum is flattened by a forming spatula 9A. After a foamed gypsum slurry B is supplied from a second slurry supply device 6, the gypsum is flattened by a forming spatula 9B, a fiber bundle F is then supplied from a second fiber bundle supply device 7 maintained under tension, the concentrated gypsum slurry A is finally supplied from a third slurry supply device 8 and the gypsum is flattened by a forming spatula 9C to give it a shape.
