To provide a device for control of fuel cut that can achieve improvements in fuel consumption with consideration of the degree of deterioration in an exhaust gas purification catalyst.
The fuel cut control device 1 refers to a device configured to put a stop to a fuel cut operation in an engine 101 of a vehicle 100 under certain conditions. The control device includes: a catalyst deterioration degree accumulating section 14 for accumulating and learning the information on the past operation of the vehicle 100; and a catalyst deterioration degree calculating section 13 for calculating, based on the information of the catalyst deterioration degree accumulating section 14, a prospective deterioration degree of the exhaust gas purification catalyst 101a of the IC engine 101 as a predictive value of deterioration degree. The device is so configured as not to bring the fuel cut operation to a stop if the predicted value of deterioration degree falls lower than a predetermined value.
