PURPOSE: To smoothly deliver a rope from a rope delivery equipment when a ship is moored to a quay, by providing an endless belt and a rope push roller over the central portion of the belt and moving the roller up or down depending on the diameter of the rope.
CONSTITUTION: To deliver a rope 26, it is first moved in between a push roller 16 in an ascent position and an endless belt 7, through a guide frame 25. An elevator including an arm 14 supporting the push roller 16 at one end is moved down by a vertical drive cylinder so that the rope 26 is pinched between the push roller 16 and the belt 7. A driving drum 3 and the push roller 16 are rotated by hydraulic motors to deliver the rope 26 out of a ship through a fairlead 1. When the larger-diameter portion of the rope 26 has come in between the push roller 16 and the endless belt 17, the hydraulic motors are overloaded to operate a sequence valve in a hydraulic circuit to appropriately elongate the vertical drive cylinder to allow the larger-diameter portion of the rope to pass.
