To structure a device in such a way as to prevent damages to a wiper motor.
This device has an apparatus 14 which generates a measuring voltage Um, a yardstick to currents Im flowing in a motor 10, and a monitoring device 24, which detects that the state of a load of the motor 10 has been enhanced. Comparing the measuring voltage Um with a first threshold value S1, the monitoring means 24 charges a storage element C with charging currents Ic which is proportional to the motor currents Im, whenever the measuring voltage Um exceeds the first threshold value S1. Then, a voltage Ic generated in the storage element C with the charging currents Ic is compared with a given limit value G and if it reached the limit value G, the motor 10 is stopped. Furthermore, it is constituted in such a way that, whenever the measuring voltage Um becomes less than the first threshold value S1, the storage element C is reset or, for example, short circuited by the monitoring device.
