Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the subject device wherein pellets to which stud bolts and the like do not adhere are used as large capacity semiconductor elements, and these pellets are directly fitted to a metal plate which is used as a common electrode, thereby to make it possible to curtail the spaces in the vertical and planar directions.

CONSTITUTION: A main thyristor 6 in an electric car control device is connected in series to an armature 1, a field coil 2 and a DC power source 5 of a DC motor for moving an electric car thereby to constitute a main circuit, and a fly wheel diode 1 causes a smoothened current to flow to said motor during the interrupting period of the main thyristor 6. Further, a bragging diode 8 short-circuits the armature 1 during the bragging braking of the car. In this manner, the main thyristor 6 and diodes 7 and 8 which are such large-capacity elements are mainly limited only to pellets, which are mounted on a metal plate 9 of an aggregate 25 of semiconductor elements. Further, these elements 6 through 8 are covered with a cover 13, and connecting terminals 11 through 13 are protruded from the cover 13.
