Abstract:
PURPOSE: To restrain and stabilize the variation of molten metal surface level caused by changing of the drawing resistance.
CONSTITUTION: In a mold level or a stopper control device provided with a mold level detecting means 5 for continuously detecting the molten metal surface level in the mold, a means for continuously detecting the drawing resistance from a torque of a driving motor 14 for brake-roll, an operating rate calculating means for calculating the operational pouring quantity of the molten metal poured into the mold from the mold level value detected by the mold level detecting means 5 and the drawing resistant value of the cast slab detected by the detecting means and a sliding nozzle for operating the pouring rate according to the operational rate calculated by the operating rate calculating means, a feedforward of the variation of the drawing resistance of the cast slab is applied to the pouring operational rate.
