Abstract:
To provide a device for controlling outflow of molten glass, which can stop outflow of the molten glass regardless the size of the inner diameter of each molten glass outflow pipe or even in a glass melting furnace having a large-sized melting tank for accommodating molten glass.
The device 10 for controlling outflow of molten glass has a side face cooling means 20 for cooling the side part 7a of a molten glass outflow pipe 7 and a molten glass receiving part 40 arranged in the extension direction Z of the molten glass outflow pipe 7. Further, the device 10 is equipped with a receiving part cooling means 50 for cooling the molten glass receiving part 40.
