This device is constituted of a vehicle control means 1 that determines the operation state of the vehicle; a plurality of converter control means 2a, 2b that control power converters 6a, 6b according to the command of the vehicle control means 1; a serial transmission means 10 that connects the vehicle control means to a plurality of the converter control means. If slippage or sliding occurs in one of a plurality of electric motors driven by a plurality of the converter control means, the vehicle controlling means receives the data of the slipping or sliding from the converter control means and transmits command data to reduce current command values to all other converter control means and simultaneously reduce the torque of all other electric motors.
