PURPOSE: To prevent the meandering of a strip in non-contact state by arranging plural gas injecting slit nozzles having Coanda effect symmetry to the center line of a conveying line for the strip.
CONSTITUTION: The gas is injected from the slit nozzles having the Coanda effect forming curve surface 3 and the strip 1 is conveyed. In the case the strip 1 shifts upward from the center line of the conveying line, the strip 1 receives the inducing conveying force only from the width Y part with the upper nozzle and only from the width X part with the lower nozzle. As the Y is larger than the X, the strip 1 causes the one side preceding phenomenon at the upper side and a self restoring effect of the shifting so as to match to the center line is obtd. Breakdown and rupture of the strip 1 can be prevented.
