Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the burning of a fork by a method wherein the fork, constituting the racks in a preheating tower, is made hollow and cooling air is blown against the internal surface of the fork to cool it.
CONSTITUTION: A blowing tube 14 is inserted into the end of a hollow fork 5 to attach it and an expandable tube 8 for cooling air, an air pipeline 7 and a blower 6 are connected to the blowing tube 14. An exhaust nozzle 15 is provided near the blowing tube 14 at the side surface of the fork 5 and an expandable tube 9 for exhaust air, an air discharging tube 10 and a blower 11 for combustion are connected to the nozzle 15.
