To provide a device for cooling an intaglio plate surface of an intaglio printing machine which cools the intaglio plate surface installed in a plate cylinder.

In the intaglio printing machine, an ink in an ink fountain becomes a uniform film after passing from a fountain roller to a roller group, the ink is transferred on an intaglio plate surface on an intaglio cylinder via an inking roller, an ink stuck on a portion other than a pattern part among the transferred ink is wiped off with a wiping roller rotating in pressure contact with the intaglio plate surface, and then, a residual ink in the pattern part is transferred on a paper passing between the intaglio cylinder and an impression cylinder to print, wherein a device for cooling the intaglio plate surface which cools the surface of the intaglio plate is provided.
