PURPOSE: To easily and suitably correct a shape by moving a wire rope relatively through a power mechanism in the diametral direction while a pair of holding members are engaged with parts in the neighborhood of both sides of a part to be corrected with a shape of the wire rope.
CONSTITUTION: Parts 1d in the neighborhood of both sides of the part 1c to be corrected with the shape of the wire rope 1 are engaged between J-shaped holding parts 12a which can attach and detach the wire rope 1 in the diametral direction. A device body 11' is rotated round an engaging part without moving the wire rope 1 and a pressing body 13 is opposed suitably to a place to be pressed of the part 1c to be corrected with the shape. A hydraulic cylinder 20 is elongated and the shape of the part 1c to be corrected with the shape is corrected by the pressing member 13. The shape can be corrected easily and suitably and kink can be prevented from being generated.
