PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct linearly the characteristic of a data value that is outputted in accordance with the temperature detected by a thermistor, in a more efficient manner.SOLUTION: A measurement circuit unit 2 is configured so that measurement circuits 2 (1-3) can be selectively connected to a thermistor 1, each of the measurement circuits 2 (1-3) being set, with respect to different temperature ranges detected by the thermistor 1, so that a voltage change corresponding to a change in its resistance value is imparted a pseudo-linear characteristic. A CPU 4 switches a connection between the thermistor 1 and each of the measurement circuits 2 (1-3) in accordance with a change in the A/D converted data values of the voltage signals outputted by the measurement circuits 2 (1-3), as well as reads out a coefficient corresponding to the measurement circuit connected to the thermistor 1 from a flash memory 6, performs cubic function approximation, and obtains a temperature corresponding to the A/D converted value. Then, the CPU 4 outputs, about a region defined in accordance with the threshold of the output change amount derived from a requested output characteristic, the data that is converted so as to constitute a linear characteristic for each temperature.
