Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an optical fiber cutting device, which can cut plural optical fibers simultaneously at a low equipment cost.
CONSTITUTION: A device for cutting optical fiber is provided with a laser oscillating device 11 for injecting the carbon dioxide laser beam, plural fusing reflecting mirror arranged so as to reflect the carbon dioxide laser beam from the side toward each optical fiber 1 and fuse plural optical fibers, and a laser beam distribution means 14 driven so as to make the carbon dioxide laser beam, which is injected from the laser oscillating device 11, enter the plural fusing reflecting mirrors 12 in order.
