PURPOSE: To have a high working efficiency, to achieve labor saving and yet to obtain high safety by leading a linked sausage between cutting edges rotated in reverse direction each other and a press roller and forming a gimpy notch on the surface thereof.

CONSTITUTION: When a main shaft is driven by rotation, a cutting edge roller 1 and an auxiliary roller 2 are rotated in the same direction all at once and a press roller 4 is rotated in the reverse direction simultaneously. When a series of linked sausages S are fed from the feeding opening 23 of a slitter case 12, the sausages S are led into a gimpy cutter by being guided by the auxiliary roller 2 and press roller 4. Notches are engraved obliquely or like a design by the cutting edge roller 1 with being pressed by the press roller 4 adequately pressurized by a pressurizing spring. They are thus discharged to the external part of the gimpy cutter from the discharging opening 24 by being guided by the auxiliary roller 2 and press roller 4 arranged at the vicinity of the discharging port.
