Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a device for detecting variable in motor vehicle, capable of reducing cost for monitoring.
CONSTITUTION: At least one sensor 10 having at least one terminal connected to one pole of power voltage is provided for a device for detecting variable in a motor vehicle. An operable switching element 32 is also provided which has at least one connecting line. The potential of the terminal 18 of a sensor is detected for a reference potential 44 in the opening condition of a terminal connecting line. If a variance in the potential is not allowable in a detecting processes done at least twice, a failure condition in the sensor is identified.
