Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a vinyl chloride detecting device which can surely examine the presence/absence of polyvinyl chloride in waste plastics so that the refuse containing polyvinyl chloride can be separately processed from other kinds of plastic refuse.

CONSTITUTION: The title detecting device is provided with a air blowing pipe 2 which leads air coming out from an air blower 1 to waste plastics P and, at the same time, is equipped with a restriction port 3 at its front end, air heating heater 5 installed at the front end section of the pipe 2, aspirator 10 which collects air containing pyrolysis gases generated from the waste plastics P, and HCl detector 4 which detects HCl in the air.
