PURPOSE: To realize secure separation and conveying of copying paper from the photoreceptor and improve picture quality, by contacting or closely disposing part of the conveying member to the back face of copying paper after transfer, and attracting the copying paper to the conveying member side.
CONSTITUTION: A corona charger 8 applies corona discharge towards the back face of a copying paper 4 to give transfer field, while charging the copying paper 4. After transfer, the copying paper 4 which is advanced while being attracted to a photoreceptor 1 is made to contact with a conductive endless belt 14. At this time, due to the charged charge of the copying paper 4, induced charge is charged on the endless belt 14, and the copying paper 4 is attracted to the endless belt 14 due to the action between this induced charge and charged charge of the copying paper 4, then it is securely separated from the photoreceptor to be conveyed. After conveying, the copying paper 4 is released from the belt 14 at the point where it passes through a pulley 16, and is moved to the fixing part.
