Title:
BEVELLING/CHAMFERING DEVICE FOR END OF STEEL PIPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3783111
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of a burr on the end surface of a steel pipe and damage of a roller itself in moving the copy roller.
SOLUTION: A turning arm 36 is turnably disposed on a tool post 30 disposed on a saddle. A first arm part 36a of the turning arm 36 is provided with a tip 40 and with the copy roller 44 turnably. The copy roller 44 abuts on the outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe in beveling/chamfering by the tip 40. A compression coil spring 54 for turning and energizing the turning arm 36 in the abutting direction of the copy roller 44 on the outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe is disposed between a second arm part 36b of the turning arm 36 and a mounting part 32. The second arm part 36b is provided with an abutting piece 58, and the saddle is provided with a hydraulic cylinder 62. The hydraulic cylinder 62 is energized so that a piston rod 62a abuts on the abutting piece 58, thereby turning and energizing the turning arm 36 in the abutting direction of the copy roller 44 on the outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe.
