PURPOSE: To suppress voltage rise upon interruption of power system or load, by regulating the effective power control signal corresponding to the difference between an effective power command and an effective power based on a voltage control signal and an output voltage from an AC variable speed generator/ motor.
CONSTITUTION: A constant effective power controller 8 outputs a torque directional component current control signal 105 based on the difference between an effective power command 103 and an effective power 102. A constant voltage controller 9 outputs a flux directional component current control signal 106 corresponding to the difference between a voltage command 104 and an output voltage 101. Current controllers 12a∼12c control cyclo-converters 3a∼3c connected to the secondary corresponding to the phase of secondary induced voltage of an AC variable speed generator motor 1 outputted from a reference signal operating circuit 10, the torque directional component current control signal 105 and the exciting direction component current control signal 106.
