PURPOSE: To pressure-connect optical discs by pressure without damaging the surfaces of the discs by a method wherein plural sheets of aligned optical discs are applied with adhesive, put one upon another and pinched from the upper and lower sides with two sealing means each of which has two sets of sealing members different in diameter. Finally compressed air is charged in air chambers, each of which is surrounded by an optical disc and a sealing means.
CONSTITUTION: Optical discs 9 and 10, on the joint surfaces of which adhesive is applied in advance, are put one upon the other and positioned by inserting a central circular projection 13 in the center holes of the optical discs 9 and 10. An air chamber 7 is formed by sealing the peripheral part of the optical disc 9 by the annular projected part 1a of an upper base 1 and an O-ring 17 at the tip of the part 1a and the annular projected part 1b and an O-ring 14 at the tip of the part 1b. On the other hand, similarly on the under side of the disc, an air chamber 8 is formed by sealing the peripheral part of the optical disc 10 by the annular projected part 2a of a lower base 2 and an O-ring 16 and its annular projected part 2b and an O-ring 15. Thus, by applying air pressure to the air chambers 7 and 8, the fixing of the optical discs by pressure can be done without damaging the surfaces of the optical discs.
