To provide a device for forming pleats on curtain with which pleats are successively automatically formed on the fabric of curtain and conveyed to a sewing machine even in the case of curtain fabric with length and width too large to be spread on a table.
In this device for forming pleats on curtain composed of a curtain fabric feeder D for successively feeding the curtain fabric to a pleats forming device B, the curtain fabric feeder D is provided with a conveyer chuck 51 for feeding the curtain fabric to the pleats forming device B while crimping the top part of curtain fabric, first driving means for reciprocatively driving the conveyer chuck 51 in the breadthwise direction of fabric, second driving means for reciprocatively driving the conveyer chuck 51 in the lengthwise direction of curtain fabric, a pair of rollers 56 to reciprocate in the breadthwise direction of curtain fabric together with the conveyer chuck 51 while catching the curtain fabric behind the conveyer chuck 51, and table T for placing the curtain fabric, and an angle θ formed by the axial line of a pair of rollers 56 and the breadthwise direction of curtain fabric is made acute on the advancing direction side of curtain fabric.
