Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the work on the spot by axially supporting an auxiliary roller on a rocking arm pivoted on the main body of a device and making the roller capable of approaching and separating from a tube to be worked along a specified circular locus.
CONSTITUTION: In the state where the auxiliary roller 5 is pressed against the periphery of the tube P to be worked, a first and a second rotary roller 18 are comparatively made close to the direction orthogonally crossed with the axial line, the outer peripheral groove corresponding to the outer peripheral groove of the first rotary roller 18 is press-formed on the tube P that is held between the rotary rollers 18. Then, the auxiliary roller 5 is axially supported on the rocking arm pivoted on the main body of the device, and is made approachable to and separable from the tube P along the prescribed circular locus C. Thus, without changing the position to attach the auxiliary roller, the tube is pressed against the roller always virtually at a fixed angle for different tube diameters.
