The device having at least one electric motor-driven roller attached so as to be rotated around the longitudinal axis center of itself, especially in pretreatment machine for spinning such as a card machine, a cleaning machine, a drawing frame and a combing machine has the roller rotated by the force of an electromagnetic field acting on at least one end face of the roller. The device also has in the roller an electrically driving means having a rotor and a stator integrated with an immobile mechanical element combined with the roller, to achieve respectably increased driving output, braking output and high torque by a simple method.
