Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for holding or compressing an item in which either a holding cycle or a compressing cycle can be shortened without accompanying any disadvantages such as either an increasing of manufacturing cost and a running cost of the device or reduction of a compressing capability and further a maintenance and management load is reduced.
SOLUTION: There is provided a device for holding or compressing items 2, 2 under application of a holding plate 11a. This device has a driving mechanism comprised of a rotary member 15 and a connecting rod 16. The rotary member 15 is fixed to a rotating shaft 14. The connecting rod 16 is connected at its one end 16a to the rotary member 15 at a position spaced apart by a specified distance from the rotating shaft 14, and the other end 16b is connected to the holding plate 11a. The holding plate 11a holds or compresses the items 2, 2 in response to rotation of the rotary member 15.
