The inverting belt 31 is set aslant to the longitudinal direction of the inversion part 30 in order to invert the sheet S front and rear. To make sure the inverting motion of the sheet S, the sheet S has a high frictional resistance with the belt 31 and a low frictional resistance with the inversion part 30. The inversion part 30 is furnished with an inversion roller 40 arranged alongside the inverting belt 31 set aslant, and the sheet S is transported in the longitudinal direction of the inversion part 30 while it is pinched between the inversion roller 40 and the inverting belt 31.
