Title:
DEVICE FOR MEASURING RESIDUAL STRESS OF METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3638392
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the residual stress of a metal to be measured quantitatively before a stress corrosion crack is generated.
SOLUTION: Electrochemical current noise In and electrochemical potential noise Vn between electrodes 21, 23 and an electrode 22, in a specific corrosion solution 12 are measured while applying a load stress to the electrode 22 that is a sample target. The relationship between a load stress value, and the electrochemical current noise In and the electrochemical potential noise Vn is analyzed by a load stress analysis means 73. An electrochemical current noise In' and/or an electrochemical potential noise Vn' between the electrodes 21, 23 and a metal 22' whose residual stress is to be measured, are measured separately and analysis result data by an analysis means 73, and the electrochemical current noise In' and the electrochemical potential noise Vn' are compared by a residual stress calculation means 74, thus predicting the residual stress of the metal 22' to be measured.
