To provide a device for applying a releasing agent capable of preventing dust such as casting burrs and the chaff of the releasing agent from depositing in a hole of a movable mold in which a fixed spray part is arranged, and evenly applying the releasing agent on the mold.

The device has a moving spray part 21 entering between an opened fixed mold 11 and movable mold 12 when a slide core 13 is positioned at a middle point before reaching its retreat end and for applying a releasing agent 10, a hole 30 having an opening 30A on the sliding face of the slide core of the movable mold 12 exposed when the slide core 13 is moved from an advancing limit to the retreat end, a cover 33 for covering the opening 30A of the hole 30 so as to freely open and close, drive means 30B and 34-37 for opening the cover 33 when the slide core 13 is moved from the middle point to the retreat end side, and the fixed spray part 31 arranged in the hole 30 and for applying the releasing agent via the opening 30A of the hole 30.
