Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the fidelity of natural color representation by sensing the color of natural light or lighting outside a video display unit and judging the external environment, correcting video displayed on its screen corresponding to the external environment, and actualizing optimum video.
CONSTITUTION: With an instruction inputted to a key input part 600, a microcomputer 700 controls a tuner part 100 to select a channel for a broadcasting signal, converts the broadcasting signal selected by the tuner part 100 into an intermediate frequency signal by an intermediate frequency process part 200, and inputs the signal to a detection part 300. The detection part 300 detects a video and an audio signal from the intermediate frequency signal and supplies the audio signal to an audio process part 400 and the video signal to a video signal process part 800. The process part 400 amplifies the audio signal and performs! various signal processes, and then outputs the result from a speaker 500. The process part 800 amplifies the video signal and processes its luminance signal and color signal, and outputs the result to a video display tube 900. A color sense/process part 1000 senses the natural light or lighting outside the TV, amplifies the signal and removes noise to send color data to the microcomputer 700, and judges the external lighting environment and sends properly corrected video data to the process part 800.
