PURPOSE: To find the shape factor between rectangular surfaces required for calculating radiation at a high speed in corresponding to the internal shape of an arbitrary room.
CONSTITUTION: The title device has an absorption coefficient calculating section which calculates the absorption coefficient between split surfaces in a space to be analyzed and radiant heat receiving quantity calculating section which calculates the radiant heat receiving quantity of each split surface from the absorption coefficient calculated by the absorption factor calculating section and radiant energy. In order to find the absorption coefficient, the absorption coefficient calculating section is provided with a ray emitting section 10 which emits rays of radiant light having an intensity from one split surface, surface searching section 11 which searches the split surface at which the rays of radiant light arrive at every ray, intensity absorbing section 12 which absorbs the emitting intensity per one ray multiplied by the absorptivity of the surface and adds the emitting intensity to the surface, and reflecting intensity discriminating section 13 which calculates the value obtained by multiplying the emitting intensity by reflectivity and emits reflected rays by comparing the value with a specific value. After searching the surface at which reflected rays again arrive and a specific number of rays is emitted by repeating emission, an intensity ratio calculating section 15 finds the ratio of the emitting intensity to the absorption intensity which becomes the absorption coefficient.
