Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color printing device in which a recording paper is not exposed to an outside of an enclosure from a discharge opening until a whole printing process is completed.
SOLUTION: A distance (f) from a position where a platen roller 29 and a thermal transfer head are opposed to each other to a discharge slit 21 a of a take-up opening 21 is longer than a whole length of a paper from which a bottom margin is excluded. Since the bottom margin is placed between the platen roller 29 and thermal transfer head when printing by one of colors is completed, the tip of the paper is not exposed to the take-up opening 21. A distance (e) from a downstream side feed roller 28 to the discharge slit 21a is shorter than the whole length of the paper. As a result, the tip of the paper passes through the downstream side feed roller 28 when the printing by all of the colors is completed so that the tip of the paper is exposed in the take-up opening 21 via the discharge slit 21a.
