To reproduce real water feeling by adding change of shadow of a water surface to outline change such as height relief of the water surface so as to produce the water surface effect.
A water wave lattice point is created within each visible range of a water wave map, a three-dimensional coordinate corresponding to the actual height of the water wave is created based on a two-dimensional coordinate of the water wave lattice point, and finally the water surface having wave change is created based on the three-dimensional coordinate. The height information on the water surface is obtained dynamically, the water surface having shadow change is created based on the obtained height information on the water surface. Refraction and reflection effects are included, so that the created water surface image becomes more real.
