Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain fine cursor moving operation by a pointing device, especially pointing to a fine area to be pointed.
SOLUTION: The coordinate information of an area to be pointed is previously stored, and when a cursor position calculation means 2 calculates a cursor position based on displacement information periodically sent from a pointing device 1, a cursor position correction means 3 judges whether the area to be pointed exists in the vicinity of the cursor position based on the previously stored coordinate information of the area to be pointed. At the time of judging that the area to be pointed exists, the means 3 corrects the cursor position so that the cursor position is included in the area to be pointed. A graphic display means 6 displays a cursor on the cursor position calculated by the means 2 or corrected by the means 3.
