Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for detecting abnormality of the exhaust gas temperature of an engine with a supercharger to improve detection precision of an exhaust gas temperature and reliably, rapidly, and high-efficiently detect blow-by of a valve and abnormality of a supercharger or an injection amount. SOLUTION: This device comprises an output torque line to the rotation speed and a fuel injection amount of an engine; a boost pressure line to the rotation speed and a fuel injection amount of an engine; and a memory means to store a given section consisting of the output torque line approximately equal to a rated output point of output torque and a boost pressure line. The output of the engine is determined from a rotation speed from an engine rotation speed sensor 31 and an injection amount of fuel from a fuel injection amount sensor 32. Only when this output is within a given section, a current measured exhaust gas temperature 33 is corrected to a rotation speed at a rated output point and an exhaust gas temperature during injection of fuel, which are compared with a threshold. When this corrected exhaust gas temperature exceeds the threshold, abnormality of and exhaust systems is detected.
