Title:
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING SECURITIES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3280289
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, which is simple in constitution and easily adjustable and can reliably discriminate whether or not securities represented in colors is genuine irrelevantly to operation environment.
SOLUTION: A photoelectric converter 15 is so adjusted as to have the same sensitivity with light sources A11 and B12 emitting different-wavelength lights in the absence of an object to be discriminated and in this state, the sensitivity difference of a detection signal of light transmitted through the discriminating object is detected as the output of a high-pass filter 22. A sampling circuit 24 samples a signal, which is proportional to the difference in sensitivity of a detected value from the light source A11 from the sensitivity of the light source B12 based upon the sensitivity difference and discriminates whether or not the security is genuine according to the sampled value.
