Title:
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ENCODING AUDIO SIGNAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3643735
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio signal encoding device capable of realizing high efficient compression at a low cost by reducing throughput without deteriorating sound quality.
SOLUTION: A bit allocation part 6 does not calculate an acoustic sense masking amount having a high throughput when calculating the number of bits to be allocated to each sub-band. Instead, bits are allocated so as to minimize an evaluation amount in which a physically quantized error amount is weighted based on the frequency of the sub-band and the amplitude of the signal component.
