Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To format and print a relative web page without calling respective web pages for conversation by calling respective web pages relating to a URL held in a URL container and generating a composite page.
SOLUTION: A computer system 100 includes a web page formatting mechanism 128, which formats relative web pages into a single page to be used for printing, downloading to a disk, arrangement on the internet, etc. The mechanism 128 collects the URLs of selected web pages and generates a single document called a composite or flattened web page. A list and relative standard of the URLs are defined to generate the URL container containing all the selected URLs and relative URLs, and a flattened page is generated by using the selected URLs and relative URLs in the container.
