PURPOSE: To provide device/method for forming an image by which the image read by a scanner device is allocated in a sentence so as to simultaneously print it at the time of printing the sentence with the use of the sentence generation device of a wordprocessor and the like and to provide the image forming device which can use general-purpose wordprocessor software as it is and the same printer control code as a conventional one can be used for emulation.
CONSTITUTION: The image forming device 1 synthesizing a first image generated by the sentence generation device 2 with a second image read by the scanner device 104 which optically reads the image and converts it into an electric signal is provided with an area deciding means 201 deciding a half-tone dot meshing area included in the first image generated by the sentence generation device 2 and an image synthesis means 202 synthesizing the first and second images so that the second image can be engaged into the half-tone dot meshing area judged by the area judgement means 201.
