To provide a device and a method for generating power using falling grains that generate power using kinetic energy of grains falling through a chute pipe installed to a grain processing facility and provides effective use of the power as power source in the processing facility.SOLUTION: A power generation device using falling grains includes a power generating rotor installed in a chute pipe through which grains lifted by a lifting machine fall and are transferred to the next process, where the rotor has a rotation shaft projecting outside the chute pipe and connected to a power generator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
