Abstract:
To provide an image processing device capable of shortening a processing time associated with the search of a motion vector, and reducing an operation amount.
A PMV generating circuit 37 generates a prediction motion vector PMV on the basis of the motion vector of block data around block data to be processed. An MV generating circuit 38 searches a motion vector MVa within a first searching range decided based of the PMV, and a motion prediction and compensation circuit 43 searches a motion vector MV within a second searching range decided based on the motion vector MVa.
