Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform reliable inspection of the regenerative braking of an electric automobile by comparing data from the automobile and an inspecting device with the optimum values and quantitatively discriminating the results of the comparison.
CONSTITUTION: A speed sensor 25 detects the speed of a vehicle (electric automobile) 1 and an accelerator opening degree sensor 26 detects the opening degree of the accelerator of the vehicle 1. A brake sensor 27 detects the brake opening degree of the vehicle 1 and a shift position sensor 28 detects the position of the shift lever of the vehicle 1. In addition, a brake adjusting valve 29 detects the opening degree of a brake pressure adjusting valve. A computer 36 compares the data detected by the sensors 25, 26, 27 and 28 and valve 29 while the vehicle 1 is run and data obtained from an inspecting device during inspections with the optimum values and discriminates that the electric automobile 1 is normal when the data falls within the ranges of the optimum values. When the data do not fall within the ranges, the computer 36 discriminates that the automobile 1 is abnormal. Therefore, the regenerative braking of the automobile can be detected with high reliability when the automobile 1 is braked.
