Abstract:

To provide an encoding device which can improve the encoding efficiency of the linear prediction coefficient of linear predictive coding.

The linear predictive coding device comprises a linear predictive analyzing means 12, which obtains a linear prediction coefficient by taking a linear predictive analysis of an input signal, an analytical filter means 13, which sets the linear predictive coefficient as a filter coefficient and obtains a residue signal from the input signal, a linear predictive coefficient vector table 22 which has a table of linear prediction coefficient vectors, a composite filter means 23 which uses a linear prediction coefficient vector selected from the linear prediction coefficient vector table as a filter coefficient and drives the residue signal to obtain a composite signal, a subtracting means 24 which obtains a difference signal, by subtracting the composite signal from the input signal, and a control means 21 which selects linear prediction vectors from the linear prediction coefficient table sequentially, selects the linear prediction coefficient vector minimizing the energy of the difference signal from the linear prediction coefficient table, and outputs it.
