To provide a manufacturing method with which the improved bundle end of optical fibers can be quickly manufactured.

The manufacturing method of the end of the optical fiber bundle related to this invention has a step (a) for locating a sleeve to the end part of the optical fiber bundle consisting of glass fibers; a step (b) for inserting and locating the end part of the optical fiber bundle together with the sleeve located to the end part to a pressing tool which is equipped with heated press jaws of two or more without pressing the sleeve; and a step (c) for applying pressure to the sleeve only in the radial direction by using the press jaws after the insertion and the location in the step (b).
