Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately evaluateC that derives from a natural organic substance to measure the age of groundwater.SOLUTION: A solution 7 containing an artificial organic substance and a natural organic substance is obtained by dissolving powder, such as humic matters in groundwater 3 collected from a site, in a solvent. The solution 7 is adjusted from pH1 to pH3 (pH2), and the solution 7 adjusted from pH1 to pH3 is passed through a resin 11 made of an acrylic acid ester-based synthetic adsorption member to make uranine and fulvic acid adsorb to the resin 11. A solution between pH6 and pH7 is passed through the resin 11 to which uranine and fulvic acid have adsorbed to separate (elute) the fulvic acid, andC deriving from the fulvic acid separated from the resin is detected. By evaluating the detectedC deriving from the fulvic acid, the age of groundwater is measured.
