Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely increase production capacity of a processing apparatus in order to process a large amount of food. SOLUTION: This processing apparatus is provided with at least one feeding manifold 44 for receiving a forming material and plungers 52 or pistons for applying pressure on the forming material in the manifold. A template 24 having one or more mold cavities 26 is driven between a filling position and a discharging position, and at least one mold cavity is selectively exposed into the feeding manifold when the template takes the filling position. The template 24 is fastened against the feeding manifold by applying pressure on a fastening member 86. The fastening member and a structure incorporating with the fastening member applies pressure on the fastening member to compensate flexure of these structural members. The flexure makes the template to keep a relation surely fastened on the feeding manifold. The use of a template having a relatively thin cross section and a fastening member similarly having a relatively thin cross section enables the construction of a forming machine having an extremely increased width.
